TALKS WILL RESUME NEXT WEEK

I want to give you an update on our discussions with the CWU which have been taking place over the last two weeks. Whilst the talks have been challenging, we have made some progress.

After focussing mainly on revision activity, so far we have been unable to agree a set of guidelines which would enable a joint deployment approach. However, both parties recognise the need to respond to a decline in workload and improve productivity and we are continuing those discussions.
Given there is much more to discuss, we have agreed to continue talks next week.

Reminder of our best and final offer

We put forward our best and final offer on 23 November last year, which included a significant number of improvements such as:
·Up to 9% pay rise over 18 months
·No compulsory redundancies
·Sunday working voluntary in Delivery
·Later start times will only involve up to a one-hour change for 40% of units, and between one to two hours for 45%. This will be phased in over three years and we have committed to try and accommodate ‘family friendly’ working where possible

·After listening to feedback from you, last week we made a further change to the allowances proposals within the money allocated to our best and final offer. So, we have now also offered to keep the following:

o RRIS (Regional Recruitment Incentive Scheme)
o TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
o Sunday Premium allowances for all existing staff who currently receive them.

We are serious about getting a deal that can bring an end to these damaging strikes and put a pay rise in your pocket without any further delay. But we need the CWU to agree to the change we need.

We look forward to holding further talks with the CWU at Acas next week and will update you when we can.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No mention of annualised hours, or sick pay conditions, annualised hours is a massive stumbling block, without that agreed upon . Revisions , in delivery , will fail massively! Taking oversized away from the walks onto dedicated parcel duties and extending the delivery span of our duties , NOT WORKABLE. This is their main target , it will cut the workforce. And there will be no set Finnish time.almost every other aspect of the change of conditions wanted by RM pales in comparison against this.

Exactly this. No mention of the issues that really matter to the majority of us. A completely pointless bit of communication again from tricky Ricky - the primary aim,to cause apathy amongst us…

I always ignore this prick(y) because he has only one agenda and it isn't for the benifit of us the workforce.

Annualised hours and later starts are the red lines for most in our office, sick pay too for some.
