It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Absolute lies and nonsense.

1. YOU DO PRIORITISE PARCELS, GRANT!!!! Any tracked parcels brought back are sent out again on overtime ahead of any mail, no matter the size.

2. POSTIES DO NOT HAVE TO CLEAR OUR FRAMES EVERYDAY - WE HAVE A FINISH TIME. YOU NEED TO EMPLOY ENOUGH STAFF AS WELL AS HAVE REASONABLE SIZED WALKS.

3. YOU ARE NOT EMPLOYING ENOUGH STAFF AND HAVE NO PLANS TO! YOU PROVIDE NO DAY-OFF COVER IN MY LARGE DELIVERY OFFICE. YOU ARE ESSENTIALLY RUNNING A 5 DAY LETTER SERVICE FROM THIS OFFICE AND HOW MANY MORE!!!

I HAVE HEARD YOU AND THOMPSON ARE ONLY ALLOWING US HALF THE NUMBER OF STAFF WE NEED.

OFCOM - IF YOU ARE LISTENING - ROYAL MAIL ARE TAKING THE ABSOLUTE PISS !!!

To be clear as a postman, ever since the PDA was introduced onto delivery I have been told by my manager that tracked packets take priority over mail, the area manager kept a league table of which delivery office did best and which did worst and woe betide the manager whose office did the worst,at best they got publicly humiliated on the next days conference call and at worst ,the area manager would threaten to visit the office .

"Make sure you clear all the tracked".

Heard multiple times in every office every day.

I’m with you all the way Grant. Could you kindly visit my office and show me how to clear my frame which takes 4 hours 40 mins on a good day, oh and better yet also show me how to clear my extra 50 mins of lapsing which was added last week. Any advice on how I can heal any ailments quicker so I don’t cost your precious shareholders money whilst on sick would also be helpful, I just don’t want to let you down.
On a serious note is there a warehouse somewhere full of the worlds worst narcissists? If there is it seems Royal Mail put in a bulk order a couple of years back to fill all senior management rolls.

This is hilarious..... We have a revision coming at the end of March and have been told 6 hour delivery spans.

They have been told to just bolt any random bits to our frames of the walks they decide to remove!

The biggest problem since the tracked parcels is they can't get there heads round the fact that no 2 days are the same and to have duties that can be completed on busy days you will never utilise every working minute....

Simon's answer give an office that has for years then prioritised packets and failed to meet the USO even bigger rounds so they don't lose a minute on a Tuesday.

So it will get to the point where the USO is being disregarded even more so and as it's a law to provide this Simon should actually be going to prison for what he has brought this once great company to.

When I started it was 2 deliveries a day the 1st by 9.30 now I can't even look some of my customers in the eye it's a total disgrace 🤬

More complete bollocks from the RM Circus. As long as I've been at Royal Mail we've been told to prioritise Trackeds and for the past six months at least we've been told to concentrate on parcels and if we have to bring mail back to do so. That bit of the hearing yesterday where Captain Captured Thompson said it was in one office and it had been dealt with made me piss my pants laughing :Very Happy
