Royal Mail employees with shares

Post by chlobo »

I was just thinking if Royal Mail employees who still own shares could somehow call for a vote of no confidence ?

The majority of shares issued to employees have been sold already.

Daniel Kretinsky, that Czec Billionaire and VESA own 22.5% of Royal Mail. He is looking at a controling interest of 30%. And he will get as the government has cleared his acquisition of GLS.

Even before that would there have even been employees with shares to have been able to call for a vote of no confidence

I've still kept mine, for long term view over time the dividends will pay back what I brought in the IPO and dividend from employee shares, I've no plans to sell.

However at 6%, not sure how much of a pull we have as a minority.

Bugger all as I have mine too but the market cap is 2,955 million ie £2.95 billion and one person owns 25% plus will not name him!

Still got mine. I don't know why but I do.

I've had a few drinks so I'll tell you that a few years ago when the shares hit about £6 - I can't remember exactly how much as I say I've had a few drinks - my area manager told me that the shares were about to drop and to sell them. Loads in our office did. I didn't. I don't know how she knew or if it was just a hunch but I've a feeling that those higher up the pay grade knew and dumped their shares. Insider trading but not on a large scale. Even back then they were crashing the share price. And I'm not of the tin foil hat brigade.

As a minor shareholder I would rather my shares hit rock bottom and we me you and I got a deal than the shite that has taken over our service and so called business. How one little man can be so much of a destructive force for bad is mind-boggling sorry to say this is an honest opinion of why I believe he should go probably not the only one on here to say so!
