Simon Says
Worrying comments from Dave Ward on a picket line today, where he talks about striking until next Christmas.
He says: “We have got to sustain this dispute. Not just through this Christmas, if necessary, right through to next Christmas.”
This would be devastating for you, our customers and our business.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Absolutely no chance CWU would get support to strike much after this Christmas let alone through to next. That's a ridiculous comment if Ward made it IMHO.

Would you rather ward said all strikes stop after Xmas ? Whether ward meant it or not , he has to be seen to be in it for the long haul to force some kind of breakthrough.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Well Simon you declared war on your staff and the union . What did you expect . If I was you I'd be more reasonable and start working with the union instead of against it . We all want to see Royal Mail be successful but you're driving this company into the ground . Making a commitment to no compulsory redundancies would be a great start .You have a chance to save Christmas . Will you work with the union or not . If change isn't happening fast enough did it ever cross you mind to talk to the union about your concerns .POSTMAN wrote: ↑30 Nov 2022, 14:14Simon Says

They will get the support. Mix in afew other things like work to rule on the ballot as well. Simon clearly thinks if he gets passed Xmas it’s all over, Simon is wrong again.

I honestly think the way Thompson and his "team" are behaving is strengthening resolve, not weakening it.
If it comes to a re-ballot, I bet it'd be another massive yes vote.
