Simon said today @ 17:30 was the cut off point for a resolution.

He is being uncharacteristic quite… :nervous
“Shorts,in this weather?!”

“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”

“What’s she been ordering now?”

You've said two different things there. If talks have ended, why would strikes be going ahead?

After what was put out by the CWU, there is no more face saving for the Union... And RM will not entertain most of the things and the time of their proposal. It is like the CWU are not taking RM seriously - they still think this is a government job and they rule the roost in the workplace.

I am even shocked about how bad and sad and unrealistic the CWU are; I would not talk to them if I were in charge of my own company. They simply want to dictate to the company and continue to hamstrung the company despite not having any business plan themselves.

The tone and the demands are just shocking! No PLC CEO or shareholder board will accept such a statement after more than 6 months of talk.

People should be realistic and know that the path of the CWU is the path to ruin!

What is that supposed to mean?

No amount of strikes will achieve what the CWU have put out! They have just made a massive rod for their own backs at such a late stage. It is just so sad!

Now, we can judge them on their counter proposals - and they will fail miserably!

I am not at any gate! Pointless!

Oh well then, as you were, lets see what tomorrow (& Wednesday?) now brings, personally I can't see RM can risk the strikes going ahead and some deal will be announced.

I am disgusted that we have wasted so much time with pointless one day and now two day strikes. We really should be all out through December.

Last chance for CWU to save face. They must meet & agree to something, if they mess it up you will see a lot of colleagues crossing the picket. This has gone on too long & too much money wasted, it cannot carry on.

Can we read anything into that this has come from Ricky and not Simon?

It might end coming to that . Let’s see if something can be sorted out before Thursday but personally I’m not very hopeful

Just think, RM could have given 4% - 5% pay rise in April when inflation was lower than today, with some minor changes agreed and call for Union to discuss matters regarding future change and next years pay as a matter of urgency to get agreements by early next year. It's as though RM top brass just want a war.
