Fresh food inflation hit 13.3% in October, also the BoE are expected to raise interest rates on Thursday.
Simon Thompson in your gilded tower, why do you think we should except 9% over 2 years, as well as a raft of changes, which will devalue and damage morale and mental health?
Over 2 years
Tax going up in April as well
To pay for the public money given to energy companies which we in turn pay for again
Corrupt as f**k
Cmon Scotland get us out of this shithole
No it’s not.
If you calculate it by the old pre 1995 way it’s 18/20%.
I disagree. Simon definitely offered 7% plus a 2% lump sum.
But it’s not even that much. The 3.5% is not going to be backdated, only payable from the date we agree his ‘deal’. Which would take at least three weeks to carry out a vote on, plus another week to put into our pay packets. So you’re looking at December 2022 implementation, at the very earliest. So 3.5% paid over only 15 of the 24 months of the pay deal is actually worth only 2.187% over the full timespan

However you define inflation as a whole its undeniable that costs are up way more on the individual items you personally buy.
Cheese £4 now almost £5?? 25% increase! And so on.
What Thompson needs to realise is that if he doesn't increase wages hes gonna lose staff to competition in other industries. Years of experience and so on.
In RM do realise inflation is a thing, which is why back in APRIL they increased 1st class stamp 85p to 95p. Would you look at that, circa 11.4% more! What a coincidence!
It's about time they realised it for us as workers too.
We aren’t getting an inflation equaling pay rise. Your efforts would be better served in ensuring this corrupt government is voted out of power as soon as possible.
