Workplace Ballot
Another Workplace onsite ballot eh?
Anyone remember how the last one went down?
Ended in a court injunction stopping xmas strikes because of people taking photographs of ballot papers and posting them on social media.
Why will it take to nov 17th to complete a workplace ballot? the idea of a workplace ballot is that it is faster than a postal ballot?
Good one.

It's an internal CWU ballot.

Re: Workplace Ballot
An old fashioned show of hands where everyone holds up 2 hands, 300 people vote yes in an office of 20 people.
A complete s**t show.

Re: Workplace Ballot
Do you think it might be possible for the Rep to walk around with a Nominal Roll and tick YES or NO?

Re: Workplace Ballot
I will have to really take a deep breath before voting to stop myself from voting yes to accept the deal after tonight's sh*t show.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Workplace Ballot
I agree tonight was a shitshow.
Not the strategy necessarily.
But their communication skills are abysmal. No-one actually knows what dates we're striking now. How hard is it to read out a bloody list?

Lots IMO,
You'll be surprised. (People thinking they 'll be able to play "gotta pick the kids up, to avoid later finishes etc as ST tossed them that carrot in the deal breifing.
121's with you manager next week for all, where these types will be re-affirmed special treatmemt if they vote yes.

Re: Workplace Ballot
It is not a legal ballot. It is the union consulting with our members on Royal Mail’s offer. We are recommending rejection.

Re: Workplace Ballot
Trouble is Martin we could get 100% of people rejecting the offer and RM will just dismiss it and say it's irrelevant and holds no water. They'll just say that people were voting under duress and there were also people not included due to A/L & S/L. Media will also use this when interviewing Dave Ward. I know we need to get this in ASAP to coincide with the company's half yearly results but I reckon it could bite us on the arse. Hope I'm wrong but I've got my doubts.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑01 Nov 2022, 20:55It is not a legal ballot. It is the union consulting with our members on Royal Mail’s offer. We are recommending rejection.
