Re: A list
Door to door got through off the backs of mail centre staff who don't deliver them but still got the 26 quid. Secondly you get it regardless of sick or holiday, whereas before, you wouldn't have.

Re: A list
Delivery staff outnumber MC staff by about 10 to 1.
Any pay deal is voted in or out by Delivery, MC staff just hang on to coat tails with no real say.

Re: A list
Do people ever listen delivery supplement is nothing to do with D2D
You get nothing for D2D
Do you get paid for each letter or parcel you deliver?

Re: A list
I think we know this but the delivery supplement came about when the d2d payment was scrapped, that’s what’s being discussed.

Re: A list
My office refuses to believe me when I say the delivery supplement is not for D2Ds (well nearly all of them).
If they don’t get done when they were off they Chuck them back to the “not done” area (where management pretend they’re excess) because they say “I wasn’t paid to do those”..
I’d love to point them to a LTB or something saying the supplement is not for D2Ds..

Re: A list
It got through because of a measly lump sum carrot , which meant people didn't read the whole agreement and just accepted it.

Re: A list
It got through because putting D2D into workload was the right thing to do.
And the majority of people recognised that.
And the majority of people recognised that.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: A list
Total myth.
Delivery staff far far outnumber Mail Centre, RDC, Walk-Bundling Centres and other bits combined.
What gets contentious agreements through is apathy. People walk out, lose several days’ pay and then when an agreement is put to a vote, fail to vote at all. Then they bellyache ‘there was no point voting, it was going to get voted in anyway’

Re: A list
I don't understand why 10 years down the line people still believe this.
The number of posties in deliveries is double every other function combined.
MCs do not get a delivery supplement of £26. They do get an MC supplement which is about a 3rd of what we get in deliveries.
But you are right on the sickness and holiday part.
