Striking for a week

Post by weara »

I am just wondering what is the point striking once a week instead striking for a whole week
One week will have huge impact to the service and the company will be give as a good deal
Instead striking once a week for a while now doesn't seems to lead to a a good deal for us
One day a week strike for 5 weeks meaning one whole week of strike
Same money that we are loosing!!!

Announce the week before xmas, will make headlines and hopefully get some proper talks going. I still don't know what the the union is asking for.

I'd hazard a guess that the union is seeking a pay rise in excess of 5.5% or on better terms than RMs original offer and a watering down or cancellation of some or all of the changes proposed. Long story short, you can't expect CWU to reveal their hand before or during a negotiation process :thumbup

Announce a week before Christmas strike and it will be all sorted in 24 hours. It would frighten the life out of them but we know that won’t happen.

Most of the Xmas rush is over by the last week
should be 2nd or 3rd week before then the backlog won’t be cleared

Been saying this from the very start week strikes. But we all know at the end of the day we're going to get shafted either way. No agreement has ever been good for us and it'll be broken within months. :cuppa

Most posties would be up for that,it will be tough financially but we need to use every tool in the box to stop this attack by the wealthy on our beloved Royal Mail,we will never surrender.

current strikes once a week isnt doing anything

theres enough managers , strike breakers and casuals to get all the important stuff delivered

thats all the customers care about!! no one misses the letters a day late
