Theres an article in the Guardian about an Airport Security Officer at Stansted Airport who said that they could fill all the jobs tomorrow if they paid people more money.
But because they have just designated most airline jobs as low-paid, people were put off applying

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
Most people at my depot lump it within a year of joining as it stands.

Not sure what that does to Royal Mail's finances, I assume it's beneficial otherwise why disincentivise your staff?

At the end of the day, the pay rise has to at least meet the National Living Wage increase of 6.6% and he knows it, anything less is ridiculous. He's just trying his luck. We'll get there eventually. At least to shareholders he'll look like he tried.

Agreed. With Rico we had those lights etc on his mansion. With Simon we are just posting little memes. And yet I find Simon more irritating, more annoying and more dangerous. At least with Rico he didn’t pretend to like us and never called us team.
