PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CLARIFY! So, when they keep saying statuary sick pay for first 3 days of 2nd absence - does that mean £0?

Are they being total disingenuous turds and wording it like that rather than the more straightforward NO PAY for first 3 days of 2nd absence?

Im really struggling mentally now having been given lots more to do on delivery whilst at the same time potentially having sickness rights taken away!!
Yes

It means £0

And Ricky McAuley confirms it at 7 mins of the video

First three days of second absence will be unpaid is their proposal
Lose pay for being ill or injured. They really are nasty bastards.

Oh so having just viewed the video again its:

• no pay for first 3 days of second absence but then from the 4th day its full pay (up to 6 months?)

So not as bad as id feared.

''Not as bad as feared'' is still bad
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

What if your day off was changed how would that effect this?

I really don’t give a monkeys about sick pay

Unpopular opinion but I don’t even care about a pay rise

I do strongly disagree with the late start/finish times

My vote is no!!! Unless they change their plan on start finish times

I’m prepared to negotiate on everything else except that

Yeah, seconded. The Sundays were a flat "no chance" from me, so are standard 4.30pm finishes.

Hey zareena funny how you imposed a 2% pay rise on us last year with no CWU agreement but you’ve just said you can’t give a pay rise this year until you get CWU agreement, I know your lying because your lips moved.

You're right, it is still bad but this was always going to happen given how many abuse the current sick pay throughout the country. In my four years with Royal Mail i have been off once and that was with covid at the start of the pandemic.
If the generous sick pay wasn't so heavily abused there would be no need for them to go after it but as always, a small minority ruin it for the rest of us!

because we striked there is no back pay he never said anything about the £580 million they nicked off us and we made that profit ,they can stick that deal where the sun dont shine ,that payrise is an absolute insult and i can't believe the cwu would agree to that and put it to a vote, call the strikes and stop giving these liars airtime ,he's already committed perjury why the hell would anyone believe a word this lot says ,and where is Thompson,he's keeping a low profile because if this goes tits up him and his cronies are looking at criminal charges.

Why is it that people with hardly any service think people with long service abuse the sick policy when their sick record over 30 plus years may in fact be far superior to yours except for at this moment in time ,also you can't honestly be that naive that you believe this sorry excuse for a chief executive wouldn't be looking to change in your words this generous policy anyway ,I strongly suggest you open your eyes as to what this s..t show of senior management are really after.

Makes me laugh how people are so naive, believing Royal Mail about the sick pay changing because of the ones abusing it, as they say. Or could it be, they can make God knows how many millions if the new sick policy is brought in.
Also Ricky saying, Royal Mail would never drop to the standards of the Gig economy Employers, Is this what owner driver's is all about?
Then you've got Miss Brown saying...... Sod the new starters, cos the rest of you are alright, and some agree with her.
Support our negotiators, stay together, and if we need to strike, then so be it. We are the Union.
