Not sure what makes people think they should get a vote on this. Firstly lets hear what the union have to say, no matter what reasons you think they have refused it for, lets hear it from them. Secondly you voted not that long ago and gave the union the mandate to represent you in negotiations with RM and to take AI if said negotiations went badly. Now Red&co come on hear spouting their anti-union we want a vote garbage to try to unsettle folk, dont listen to their verbal crud, you dont pay them to represent you and i fancy a lot of them dont pay the CWU to represent them either, listen to what your union tell you and then see if you are still unhappy.

Where to NON union people sign?
They go all on their lonesome to the manager and strike up a bargain without any leverage whatsoever.
What leverage have union members got?
More than non-union members. I'm pretty certain this latest offer isn't the "Best and final offer". Clearly the ground has been shifted. I dint think the non-union members aided that in anyway way, shape or form.
Do you not think non union members went on strike then?
Perhaps some did. My point was, whether they did or not, it's the 115,000 union members that made the difference, not the minority of non-union persons.

The union need to break down what the entire thing will mean, then put it to a vote. Recommend against voting for it if that's what they feel is best and take it from there.

I don't think we'll be able to strike before the local elections as there's probably a good chance that RM would be able to get an injunction. Would the Purda period prevent the CWU from announcing strikes to take place after the local elections?

Unless details of the proposed deal are published, how do we know that it's not a s**t deal?

You can forget striking I reckon. It's past that. You cannot withdraw labour from a company going through administration. Which is probably the next move in this chess game they're playing with us, if strike action were called. That's why the CWU aren't planning that useless card.

Is that why they recruit the people who have done the job as uni graduates did not know how to do it nor want to? And is is it the case we all know what is wrong with royal mail and it is not the staff on the front line. But the inept leadership by those at the very top especially one person some would call costing your nation £37 Billion a catastrophe but In someone's eyes was the vision of certainty. Well if you can lose £37 Billion of UK taxpayers money you must be doing something right or wrong?. Your hired what is the first thing you will do go around and tell everyone I am your friend and here is 1.5% for working through the pandemic. And during that time we had a meeting with the shareholders and I agree we should pay them more as long as I get paid more. Well I did £567 Million and I got a big fat bonus £142,000 on top of my salary of £560,000 oh and the rest of them will get a big fat bonus as well yes the did! Pay talks April 2022 their is no money left we gave it away why be cause I love charitable causes MY SELF included But you must pay us something well here 2% and if you want anymore beg for it! So do you trust a person who has engrossed himself and has pity sympathy and pushed this this once great service and this nation into a debt for his own personal gain!
