When's Thompson getting sacked.....
When is he going to prison he clearly has lied to the select committee and we all know it. He cannot get away with it like one of our recent forma PM's and has been found out hook line and sinker.

What an absolute car crash , just pre rehearsed comments bearing no relevance to the actual question , as someone mentioned earlier it would be laughable if it wasn't so important , not fit to wear the shirt, just really really embarrassing .

As a couple of posters have already said who are these secret outside adviser's who ST is so reluctant to name, the chair of the select committee seemed confident it was the same crew that have been tearing up and running down other companies, also some of the top executive appointments seem to be specialists in destroying terms and conditions at other companies,it's time to put these people under the spotlight as, for the last couple of years ,their total arrogance and lack of decency for hard working RM staff has been allowed and encouraged to flow down to local management level, enough is enough.

At one point yesterday Thompson stated to the committee chairman that 97% of staff were employed on a Full Time basis. He then repeated this claim when questioned by another committee member. He probably meant 'permanent' but said something very different and misleading ;liar :no no

I noticed that. He doesn't even know the difference between 'Full Time' and 'Permanent'.

Funny how he wanted to let them know that most of those profits came from GLS but yet he still took a huge bonus from the failing RM

The latest figures available albeit from 2013 were https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... 3.pdf.html
69.56% of Royal Mail Group’s employees are employed on 39 hour or above contracts.
The remaining 30.44% are employed on less than 39 hour contracts.
I don't think they have increased that much in 10 years, more likely they have reduced the FT %

Oh im sure he does, but is being deliberately misleading. Straight out of the Boris Johnson/Tory playbook.
