I doubt any negotiations are happening at the moment. The CWU are at conference patting themselves all on the back.

Exactly this. No cost of living crisis in Bournemouth at the moment, judging by the pics cropping up on my FB feed.

More people moaning at the CWU instead of the employer. Well and truly been brainwashed by Royal Mail. Fools

A pay offer has been made. More strings and below inflation. Members are to be balloted I think. Seasonal longs and shorts. Loss of allowances and later starts. ( predicted this last bit)

The moving of work from air over to rail and road, I can see happening anyway, irrespective of any pay deal. It must cost RM a fortune to send stuff around the UK by air. When it does happen, that'll be the cause of the later starts

They wanted it last time there were negotiations. It will mean thousands probably leaving the job because of family issues.

What a joke of an offer made

2% backdated to April
1.5% only 'being paid when the changes we are seeking commence'
2% possible 'bonus scheme' if the unit delivers above productivity improvements

So even if we somehow get all of it, it's still below inflation and so is a pay cut - and it comes with strings attached to everything but a paltry 2%.

I do enjoy how Ricky mentioned it being better than the Post Office proposal, as if the Post Office staff aren't literally striking over their shitty offer.

Where exactly does it say all?
It says 32 allowances and supplements.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Interesting that you consider the delivery supplement 'door to door money' when you supposedly joined Royal Mail after the delivery supplement came in and door to door payments went

usually, if anyone, its those of us who were here during that change that would consider it the replacement............ ;liar
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

@Martin Walsh, have you got a list of which allowances and supplements RM are looking to axe?
