shocking attitude from the union! could be going onto strikes into next year! if thats the case there should be a strike fund for us, needs to be an end point at some point! weve been striking since the summer, this is why its the weakest union hands down, can't even support us umbreallas never mind a strike fund! joke of a union,we are all saying the same thing these one days here and there is only hurting ourselfs, we could have had 8 days in a row strike by now and had a better effect, wouldn't need to go into next year if it wasnt for meek couple of days strikes, get serious or bail out

Personally, I think these are much better tactics.

Balloting the members, so we can reject the offer, instead of the Company using that to drive a wedge between the CWU and staff. Balloting on the no confidence of Simon Thomson, that's an ego thing, it carries no actual weight, but it means he can't speak on behalf of his "team".

Increasing strikes to cover the most important trading times for the company, and giving them time to negotiate before then. Cancelling the pointless day strikes, that only serve to lose people money, and to be used as an excuse for the company to "further their agenda" and then blame the strikes.

Much better approach imo.

Well, that was worth the wait, thought it would be 'up the ante' but to cancel 12/14? and moving those dates to cyber weekend, No extra dates announced, some talk of IA during Christmas pressure. Sounding like more and more like we have lost this. :(

48 hour strikes instead on black friday week - didnt catch exact dates

EDIT - 24TH, 25TH, 30TH November AND 2ND December

So weekends aren't striking again. Don't get me wrong, i understand they're on less hours, but i don't think its fair how its us workers on weekdays that are taking the hit in pay all of the time.

Yes, they will get a court injunction for BF / Cyber Monday.

We are being played here, and allowing a vote on the deal will likely backfire with a significant percentage voting to accept (could have been worse / “oh simon says he’ll let me have special hours cos i’ve gotta pick the kids up” etc)

2 of the upcoming dates fell when I was on annual leave which meant I wouldn't take a hit for another 2 days pay but others have had several dates fall on rest days etc, so haven't lost as much money but hey ho I guess that's how the cookie crumbles except I can't afford cookies right now

Baffled me cancelling the 12th/14th to be honest, sends out the wrong message in my opinion.

I was pretty underwhelmed but I'll back the Union 100% otherwise we are finished.

The one day strikes are pointless if they allow the RM to recover in between them. So basically they've called off the 12th and 14th ones now. What an utter shambles.

The RM bosses are laughing their asses off right now. Complete and utter waste of all our last strike dates, all it achieved is cost us money. Can some please put someone in charge of the union that actually know how to run strike action???
