Sadly, trusted their union, nobody would have foreseen that CWU would sell members out?
The members are the union - so what you are saying is the members sold themselves out.
Yes. The members voted and got a response. This is what RM has become.

I voted No, got out my bed and joined the picket line every single time, still felt the need to get a new job after the feedback locally.

Best thing I ever did in hindsight. Wish I'd done it years ago.

There's plenty jobs other than RM in reality.

Depends on what Tory nonsense you're prepared to take.

Actually, forget the Tories. If you live in a cushty wee Village/Town with literally zero other job opertunities then maybe you should have a wee think about moving to somewhere better than where the local Posties job is the best going.

This is completely unacceptable. You have let us down badly. Congratulations on colluding with RM and giving them carte blanch to do whatever the hell they like.
Despicable and dishonest behaviour
over 70% voted for it.
Indeed. I voted NO and I'm still bitter and angry about it! Lol
The deed is done however and now we face the consequences.
Me too ,its funny watching all the yes voters moaning like f--k.

They were prepared to lose a considerable amount to protect themselves.
We and royal mail supported them during the strikes.

The moment that Thier pay packet was threatened the towel was thrown in .

How does moving your meal relief mean you can finish earlier?
Is it even legal
Apparently having your meal relief while there's dead time between waves 1 and 2 means you can finish earlier
Yes it's legal.
Many places split their breaks now.
20 minutes at normal break time and then 20 minutes at the end.
We all knew this was happening, it's been explained for months.
The changes are allot less drastic then predicted because of hard fought negotiations from the union.
The planes were being pulled whatever the outcome of the dispute was.
Capacity reasons and losing customers to green related aims made sure of that.
The union have mitigated the damage as much as they could.
Fighting for an eventual 35 hours week and potential watering down of 1st class targets in any USO changes in the future may even revert the times back to the status quo.
Time to get behind the union again.
Royal mail won't fight for your work life balance, only the union will.

How are the CWU selling their members out? They have actively improved this aspect of the agreement that we voted on. RM wanted a lot more. To get only 15 minutes of change for a lot of offices is remarkable. They should be commended.

I actually don't believe it's funny, the Yes voters were always the weakest link. At first they kinda believed in the company!!!
Then when the executive capitulated, it confirmed Thier view.
I don't imagine the were expecting this....

WE TOLD YOU SO.

But offered no alternative solutions, once RM decided to drop moving mail by air the later start and finish times were always going to be introduced, no voter are just in self denial mode if they think they could have stopped the changes.

I would like to see a geographical breakdown of the various later times. My start time is more than 1 hour. Union gave indicative times before, so can obviously give them now.

Our huge mandate was to fight . That was our instruction to the union executive. We would fight. They chose to ignore that.
