Someone has suggested that those in processing etc could carry a yes vote, if that is the system we have then fair enough but it kind of dosnt seem fair someone voting on how people work in deliveries when they work in processing and Vice versa, completely different types of work? I fail to see how it would be impossible to discuss the way we work separately?

It will be a Yes vote, narrow but still a Yes vote I believe, because most of the mail sorters, admin and engineers will vote yes. I think the CWU will persuade enough of the posties to carry the ballot.
they will have a very difficult job trying to prove that Royal Mail is going bankrupt right now.

It's strange that the RM board and now the union leadership are desperate to get this deal done to save their careers. But that is what it has come down to.
You've no real idea if those two suggestions are really correct.

Just read some of my previous posts. Really can't be bothered to post it all again.

Delivery staff outnumber RDCs and MCs combined by about 3:1, could even be by 4:1 by now. Unless it's a really close vote, it doesn't matter what we think in RDCs and MCs as it'll be deliveries that vote it in or out

On delivery and just voted yes. We've been finishing at 3.15 two days a week for a few years now, so the changes won't affect us much, if at all. Didn't like it then and still don't, but you get used to it. Those with genuine childcare needs are catered for.

Sunday's are off the table.

The new sick pay terms are not a factor. I have a few health issues, but this is just bringing us into line with most companies/organisations.

Annualised hours may or may not happen, but in no way a sticking point. There's a limit to how late you can work in winter, unless they're planning to bring back head torches.

Everyone knows the changes are coming at this stage and voting no won't change that. Meanwhile in the real world, a lot of us are brassic after 18 days lost pay and a year without a salary increase as costs go through the roof.

One of the main reasons the deal is terrible....

by my estimations the average postie will lose £150 to £200 a year from genuine sickness, as surely most people have 2 or 3 absences in a year.
If you have 2 or 3 absences a year you will get sacked, thanks to the new attendance standards.
Can you show me where it says that? The sick pay thing is the most offensive part of the deal i've seen yet. Unions fought hard for sick pay

Ok , so delivery and processing are completely different jobs, I've done both, some parts of discussion on how we work should be done differently? Why not? We do local agreements? I'm being devils advocate here, local agreements are the worst thing the CWU agreed to, well apart from the recent proposal
