The union need to call strikes, to have any chance of saving face.

I suspect instead they'll say something like in the interest of being democratic we have decided to put the deal to the vote, in the hope the members let them off the hook. Although will they not take a stance on the deal, by neither recommending it or not recommending it ...
But what are strikes really going to achieve apart from potentially encouraging IDS to put RM into Admin?
To focus their minds that the company is going nowhere without the workforce ,if it goes into admin so be it,id rather lose a s--t job than work under those t's and c's,no matter what we all think one thing is certain if the union don't act we are done for and they are done for its as simple as that.

Instead of taking the company down, why not let those of us willing to work under those conditions do so, while you find another job anyway? Such a bizarre attitude. 🤔

If we accept the offer, RM get to divide the workforce by having new starters take 5 years to earn equal pay. That weakens any future pay negotiations. Plus how can anyone agree to the last paragraph, "performance management and data use". Quickest persons PDA sets the pace, can't keep up with them? conduct code for you for under performing! We are not robots!

If you're working at a reasonable speed you're not going to be conduct coded. That's ludicrous. If you're taking the pxss then you deserve to. We all know what a reasonable speed is we're adults. Do the job correctly and walk reasonable speed. No worries. Always going to be young fresh people doorstepping that's going to be quicker but it's them who need to be taken in the office.

Unfortunately Rambo you are coming from a common sense point of view, RM wont, they never do. RM will undoubtedly introduce productivity games before long

What's a reasonable pace?
What if you have people with disabilty issues?
If you think these johnny's are just going to let you walk round at a reasonable pace I've some magic beans or Colleague shares to sell you.

hate to repeat this but .... THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING !

didn't they say that this Thursday (tomorrow) was the final day for any talks (if they are even talking ?) .

and the changes are still happening , just been told that come September (THIS YEAR) we are losing 4 posties who are being shipped off to the local parcel hub and all large parcels will be lost ! (we are a small DO so god knows how many the larger ones will lose).

Why would anyone be willing to work under the conditions Thompson wants you to work under?
Don't you think you're worth being treated better?

Change happening all over the place and will continue to do so
The sooner people realise this the better , it’s about how much we are compensated for said change and what notice we are given about it

If I genuinely believe that was a possibility, sure, but I don’t. Even the union are saying this which is why they are not calling more strikes. My guess is they are now spending time trying to ‘spin’ this final offer and will put it to members.

If we lost our large parcels we could just about complete on a quiet day
