Does anyone know what these reps have done or been accused of before we let them hang out to dry let's here some truths of what they've done its cowardly to let them be the scapegoats on any deal and there's a few on here would gladly give them up to achieve a deal :no no
The union actually discussed some of them on LBC actually. One being letting off flares on the picket lines, which is a really stupid example to use to get people on your side. It's actually illegal to set them off in a public setting for anything but an emergency. And you did have numerous of CWU posts with people holding them on the picket lines. Hell, I'm sure people in comments at the time were warning them about it. It completely backfired on them :arrrghhh
The idea that Reps are victimised is absurd! The Reps in general get away with so much the odd one that gets in trouble is an exception. Most of them work well with management (as it should be) and a lot gets some sort of recompense or fringe benefits for being a Rep

Royal Mail will struggle without Reps or the Union because in many ways they have been part and parcel of the fabric and part of management structure. I am not saying the RM might not want to get rid of the influence the CWU has on what is now a privatised company or that they might not want a nominal or less influential or no Union all together; but that will be something in the future.

The Reps issue should never ever be part of a general dispute that has taken so long and holding the more than 100,000 to ransom... Going about saying they are victimised when they have obvious Conduct issues is treating the rest of us like Plebs.

* Letting off Flared! Omg! Some people gets do carried away... I don't think it should be a stackable offence but all the disciplinary issues relating to the Reps are being held up; that one could go either way, but it is stupid and nothing to do with being victimised as a Rep.
** Amnesty does not come into it either because Royal Mail has to be fair to all; or they open a Pandora's box...

Yeah don't think it's that much of a big deal to get fired over it but from what was said in the broadcast it was on grounds of Health and Safety so guess smoke flares are banned for that reason. In which CWU has once again been caught out on a legal technicality just like the time CWU posted the video of posties putting ballot papers in box inside the workplace. You'd of thought they'd learn by now. Need to stop finishing for social media clout and start thinking strategically.
