Chris , no other union has gone along with change and modernisation as much as the CWU so you're talking complete rubbish . Chris, are you a manager because you certainly don't sound like a CWU member .?chrisj wrote: ↑15 Oct 2022, 15:58I am not anti-Union! But this particular Union is a relic! And I have been watching the direction of travel since before privatisation and this particular conflict; it has just been badly managed.
I could not care less about Simon provocation or the conspiracy theories; the job of the Union is to protect jobs foremost and get the best for its members in a realistic way not a confrontational way. We are not at war! We are employees wanting a bit more and wanting job security and a good work/life balance.
These lot are totally unprofessional and it shows!

We have to stick together, RM are exploiting the cost of living crisis to try and break the union once and for all, they knew the economy was going to go this way, the idea these corporate fat cats don’t know what’s going on big picture is ridiculous, and they hope to use this time to put through change we’d never accept.
It’s not like the union are expecting us to go out all week, week after week.
One day a week? I mean we’re at the point where I’ll just say it, if you can’t put up a fight by losing one days pay, you really should just accept you’re a slave to corporate greed. Sick of hearing people LYING saying they can’t afford it.
Cancel bills for shite, TV subs, ball game subs, takeaways, holidays, work days off if you need too, be less fat, there really must only be a tiny tiny minority that *actually* can’t afford it, as in they’ll literally go into rent/mortgage arrears and they have no options whatsoever, even during this economic crisis..
