I doubt they'll dismiss you, I think they'll just screw you for the hour using the PDA data to show where you were not productive enough.

What are you going to do about it?
Cut off?
Oh wait you can't, you've committed to deliver.

Like I said they've closed all the loopholes.

To all you idiots , full timers , part timers , floats or reserves who start work early , run around on your duty to either finish early or do ghost overtime within your paid hours , and dont take your breaks.
Thank you for corrupting the system. Your selfishness over the years has corrupted the duty times, increased absorption amounts and will impact greatly on the shorter summer days in this new system. RM will take full advantage of your recorded delivery times to justify the shorter days so that we are expected to work 12 hour days in the autumn/winter.
We have moaned on this site for years about you cretins. You (and we) are about to suffer from your actions.
100% correct.

I'll be f.cked if I'm doing annualised hours for an extra £7 a week.

“There would still be an opportunity for you to enhance your earnings through overtime to cover genuine business needs and where you are up-to-date with your hours in the “flexitime bank”. For example, overtime could be used to cover unplanned sickness”

Unplanned sickness? Surely any sickness is unplanned?

Having just read through them again , I genuinely can’t believe it’s serious.

Who tf would want to do this job on those terms ? They’d be the worst terms of any delivery company.

They're just not sane are they?

I suspect substance abuse in the higher echelons, its understandable too what with having wads of dosh thrown at them, no self respect or self discipline and never having had to turn an honest quid and totally cloistered in a rarified atmosphere bullshit and bling.

It's enough to knock anyone off their rocker.

Si will be up for an Earldom in the honours list at this rate.

Imagine the chortles and sniggers throughout gilded halls of the British Establishment as Si bravely ushers in 18th Century working practises.

These people are insane....but in charge

Do they seriously think we would accept this? They're bloody mental.

And the whole thing is based on the assumption that we are lazy wasters.

Scum. Your company is going down if you carry on with these insults. And good luck finding 120,000 people to replace us if you try to fire and rehire.

It's essentially compulsory unpaid overtime, every day all year, isn't it?

“Longer days when it’s busier around autumn

They really didn’t want to say “at Christmas” did they?

At least they used friendly happy leaflet colours for us dumb plebs.

This really is a microcosm for how society in general is going.

Always heard Royal Mail couldn’t function without staff doing o/t and wages take up the bulk of the money they earn. So this looks like there way of trying to cut back on monies spent. Along with try to cut sick pay this job will not be worth a flying f@@@if this lot get there way.

So, they're solving the problem of understaffed offfices by... undercounting the hours staff work. Wonderful.

You have to wonder if they're doing all this in anticipation of what Ofcom is going find over our delivery failures. Something along the lnes of "Ok, we're sorry, but we have this wonderful new plan to take care of it." Doesn't matter if it works. I don't think they think it will. It'll just buy time until they can scrap the USO or someone awful steps in to buy us.

I said this when the proposal was first floated - it literally gives your manager all the power to decide how short or long your delivery should be, and if you don't achieve what they decide it should be then tough - f**k you and get back out and deliver the mail, and because I think you're slacking you're not getting any banked hours or OT.

It's like the worst aspects of being on a ZHC, where all the decisions regarding your hours are being made by a power tripping manager, who if you ever get on their wrong side can absolutely f**k you over.

How would it work if say tomorrow was your day off no one to cover it and you owed them hours. Could you be made to come in to work it ??

This is what they say. Depends how you interpret “would seek”. If it would become something they could not do or just try not to do unless operational needs dictate otherwise who knows.

“Also, we propose to roster with a clear weekly break and the use of any hours which you owe we would seek to use on days when you are already attending for work, rather than calling you in on rest days.”
