Or a move to mail center as we are in it together, I’m sure they be willing opg who’d swap place

Not a chance. All the "DDA duties" are already spoken for and we've not had any new staff member since the start of Covid. When anyone leaves for whatever reason, they get replaced with a casual.
The data gleaned from heart rate monitors is totally useless without at least a weeks worth of reading from before any trials.
A normal resting rate is between 60-100 BPM and someone with a 100BPM heart rate can easily be in better health than someone with 70-80BPM.
I need someone in a higher power to explain to me how mail is failing over 6 days but is achievable over 3. Only asking.
Can nearly 7 billion letters be delivered in a shorter timespan? Are the peaks and troughs sufficient to allow core delivery twice one week and three times the following week? Can six days unaddressed mail be delivered in two days? Posts in this forum say it's not possible.
The CWU says it is possible and have signed up to a new method of delivery. Martin Walsh says the alternative is legislation change to allow a further reduced legal obligation. Martin believes the government bank rolled by the CWU is going to reduce the legal obligation even further if workers don't just do what he says.
Even when that happens and we don't just lose 25% of us but a bigger number, all those billions of items are still going to need delivering. Can those billions of items be delivered in even less days with even less of us?

Didn't that go out the window with P&L? Under SDD we had duties that were predominantly closes but had a decent chunk of front & backs on them to balance it out until P&L took them off and shoved even more closes on. But they gave us a van, so those 15,000 sequential steps are neutralised.

Agree.
They need a baseline and would need to be using something like a Whoop band that can track not only heart rate but also heart rate variability along with sleep, long term fatigue and a whole host of other things. This would need a minimum of at least a months worth of data to get anywhere close to seeing what the impact is. Overall step count is also another factor that needs logging due to wear and tear on joints and the affects it'll have on posture due to carrying a bag for hours on end.
I'm sure there was an half assed study done around 2005-2010 when we went to SDD and they tried to cram an extra 2+ hours onto deliveries but it went nowhere IIRC.
Cumbernauld have been wearing heart moniters to check impact of uso pilot
You couldnt make it up
Heart monitors.. what the hell.. this needs to stop immediately....
On health and safety grounds...
So it will take someone having a heart attack... before.the company relizes it's insane to continue with this madness...
Posties who have done a lot of service , and struggled for last few years with long term conditions and classed as dda , is it just a case of bye bye , we know you cant manage now with these trials. Thanks though. . ?
