I think the confusion comes from what Part-timers actually do across different offices.
This week I am on a full-time duty. My full time partner will come in before me and start whatever prep there is. As the lorries aren't any earlier this usually means doing D2D's on both frames.
In some offices, part-timers will arrive and go straight out as the full-timer has prepared both frames. But even in this case to suggest the full-timer will be put out by the PT-er being in a little later relative to the FT-ers start time is a stretch. I can't imagine prepping both frames is done like clockwork.

I think that's half the problem, because something is the norm in my DO it may not be in yours. For example our 1st wave arrives 30 mins before I start,I'm fulltime. I always prep d2ds on both frames as it's very awkward to prep them into a fitting full of mail. Our part timers never go straight out, even the ones that dont start until 9.30Foxel wrote: ↑19 Sep 2023, 12:21I think the confusion comes from what Part-timers actually do across different offices.

Re: Seasonal Variation - 24mins vs 10mins
Complete confusion at our DO with management insisting we do 24 minutes if covering a FT duty, HR (confirming in writing) saying it’s 10 minutes, and the union rep in the middle.
As I said to my line manager this morning (which strangely enough she didn’t reply to), I’m on a PT contract but according to her classed as FT due to me covering FT duties, therefore can I expect the payout next Friday to be full time and not pro rata? Or is it just when it suits the company?!

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
