It blows my mind that we still have three weeks to wait when it was meant to be in the “next available payroll”…
Good point.
We should have got this lump sum a lot earlier.
By the time we get it it will be near Xmas :Boo hoo!

Don't forget that you are losing 24 minutes pay/time per day so the £500 they are paying is really only worth less that £100.

Is it?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Did I vote in favour of the agreement? No

Will I accept the (pro rata) lump sum payments? Yes

Is it hypocritical of me to do so? No

Why not? Because as I am now forced to accept the majority decision and all the negatives that come with it, I’m going to take the cash and stick it in the bank just in case I get ill.

I find it interesting that people think you aren't entitled/should give away the payment because you voted against the agreement, not sure what the basis is for that theory, do all no voters not have to start earlier or work within the parameters of the new agreement?
Democracy means the agreement was voted in and any pros that go with it go to all, same as any cons.

You should get it either way. I’ve never said that people who voted no aren’t entitled. It is still hypocritical for people who keep bleating on about ‘blood money’ to then happily pocket the cash.
