Imagine you bought a first class ticket on a train but got a 2nd class service with the trains running late, cabins dirty, etc.
I worked for British rail for 11 years and that a pretty fair assessment to be honest.

Both the union and the company have had enough time to sort out these unachievable workloads. Instead walks are STILL failing everyday, and what has changed since they announced this so called agreement?

What ever the outcome I just don't trust the company to adhere to the agreement. The USO has been failing for over 3 years and everyone including the customers are suffering.

Imagine you bought a first class ticket on a train but got a 2nd class service with the trains running late, cabins dirty, etc. We deserve better and so does our customers.
Im not suffering,i like our revision only doing a fraction of the walking because of the sheer volume of packets only really doing 1 out of 2 dutys per day then onto tracked and clock out on time, happy days😁

Ballot closes Tuesday 11th

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If there is a ballot ,where’s my ballot paper. Can I demand a rerun , not that it will make any difference as to whether I vote yes/no , or not at all , if I vote “yes” the terms and conditions as they currently are go out of the window and I might get some small financial uplift , but I will pay that back and then some with what’s being proposed, on the other hand if I vote “no” and the terms and conditions as they currently are still go out of the window and Royal Mail impose their will , the union will just roll over and say there’s no plan B , not that there was a plan A and we’re all doomed. Not much of a choice is it really.

Sadly you are absolutely right.
I think in the end its what you can live with, voting yes and getting your rise now, but feeling dirty and grubby like you've just collaborated with the enemy or vote NO and who knows where it will lead, maybe a better deal but maybe not, but you will feel much better about yourself and will sleep better.
Unions power has seeped away never to return, any agreements will be tossed away like confetti in the wind.
Your choice.

Did you not think to ask for another one to be sent out before literally days away from the end of the ballot? The most important vote in your employment career and you didn’t question it till now?

So if someone voted No, then I take it they’ve left the CWU?
I've voted NO,im in delivery, you'd be mad to vote yes ,haven't left the union yet but if its a yes i couldn't possibly stay in a club where people admit defeat so easily.
Why would you be mad to vote for a pay rise and job stability?

You don’t seem to have a high option of your co workers. Maybe you can financially afford to lose more pay but the majority can’t.

Maybe to most people this is just a job and all they care about is the money. I actually find it quite insulting that you call people weak for voting for the deal. I suppose it’s the usual I’m alright Jack attitude I see in Royal Mail.
Not at all,you are voting for a pay cut and thats not job stability its job slavery, remember no strings pay rise ,and win the ballot win the dispute, well i dont see any win in a yes vote, and i think you might find it reversed that im alright jack attitude is surely the Yes voters,i guarantee all the yes voters will be moaning as usual about Royal Mail before they have spent their £900 bung, thank god if its a yes i won't be around to listen to it.one last thing i find it insulting the CWU have signed us up to this insulting deal.

Yes me too, time i get out of the office im walking less than 20 years ago,all those re deliveries (what bright spark came up with that, lose millions in wasting time to save it by closing callers office absolute tools)and more and more collections i too alternate walks every other day so now 2 postmen to do one walk you couldn't make this s**t up,where the hell did they hire these bosses ,PLUTO

Again for the unpteenth and probably last time.
What are you voting for?

We all know what you're voting against but that's the easy part, we can all just keep saying no, it's something we learn as children.

What do you hope for as a resolution to this dispute?
What would be an acceptable deal that would stop you saying no?

Is there a live event next week to reveal the results of the vote ??
They could have a couple of very buxom strippers announcing the result, and I couldn't give more of a toss, even if I tried.

Well, probably be worried that one of the strippers might catch a cold........

Why even post on this forum if you don’t care? What a waste of time.
