Re: 1500 back on table
I really doubt that voting no will be effective in moving RM on this. They will point to PEC who agreed it is an acceptable deal, regardless of whether we think it is or not. They will say the deal for this year is nearing 8% when you factor in the measly lump sum. 2% next year is pathetic, but if this deal gets voted through then 6% will flow through to allowances,OT and pensions. I just can’t see it being improved.

It doesn't matter what the pay rise is it will not flow through to pensions. Since 2014 the rise in your pensionable pay, which takes place at the start of April, has been determined by the inflation rate the previous September. My pension contributions rose by about £1.60 per week at the start of April........ the good thing is that Royal Mails contribution to my pension rose by £3.62 per week.

£1500 most of it will go on tax and will not go forward into pay or your basic pay per hour so will fall back to minimum wage far quicker!

Re: 1500 back on table
That’s strange then because mine hasn’t increased in April. The contributions from RM and myself haven’t changed. It was the hierarchy of the union that said the rise would flow into pensions…renrag40 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2023, 23:45It doesn't matter what the pay rise is it will not flow through to pensions.
