Seems a simple one, do you want 1500 quid to be bent over yes, no?
Ok, so vote no. But what do you think will happen then? Royal Mail barely budged during Black Friday and Christmas so what do you think voting NO in April will do other than drag it out longer?
Drag it out or keep the status quo? do you really need an answer

If it was a good deal they would of been out boasting how great it was straight away, having to wait this long says to me they are getting opinions of the higher ups in the union on accepting the deal and how us members will be let down gently, vote NO !!!!!

Not sure what's taking so long for the union and postal executive to put the deal to the membership and let us decide. All I will say is don't be fooled by the money aspect as the terms on which we base our working lives matter more, particularly the family friendly offering which needs to be iron clad so that local management cannot decline it without giving it proper consideration.

First PEC, then Reps, then Us. Reps briefing is tomorrow, so probably expect something early next week.

Copies are in circulation and in the words of one div rep.." we could loose a lot of members because of this agreement.." . The agreement agrees to seasonal.working, inferior sick pay terms, acceptance of DPR and longer walk routes etc. I have been told by someone whose seen it via a div rep and I trust them.
I was also told last week that ward was seeking to put sprinkles on a terd of an agreement..Got to make it mote palatable to members to swallow, so expect a lump sum.
With regard to the comms no body keeps a good deal quite....there is no legal stuff to keep quiet, they want to persuade the beano boys and girls at Bristol that this is a good deal, and not allow time for a negative meeting to occur..ironically trying to shut down debate.
Like all of Ward's deals they'll be a selling point,I.e. this the best we can get and its good considering the circumstances and could have been much worse etc.
Plus he will include that he go rid of thompson giving red.meat to the faithful. He will use the meeting as a warm up a ct to sell to the local reps brief next week who will try and sell it to members via gate meetings.
He will Gauge the mood and get some effective replies in place...bit like his radio show and all bull. As in 6 to 18 months it will all come unstuck and fall apart as the details he neglected to mention or omitted come home to roast....
Ward out...vote No.

I would imagine you are probably correct. If it’s the deal Royal Mail offered last week then it’s a no from me.

"The agreement agrees to seasonal.working, inferior sick pay terms, acceptance of DPR and longer walk routes etc. "

Did anybody really expect RM to drop any of those change, if they had I'm sure that would have been leaked by now. The only real hope is that the lump sum has been increased.

Whatever the deal or is not, if it is rejected by the CWU members then be prepared for executive action on a massive scale to push it all through. Baton down the hatches

I doubt they can push though seasonal hours and the changes to the sick pay without an agreement.

More executive action is just going to lead to people doing less than nothing, easily knock 40% off my effort levels
