If it is a shite agreement, why would the CWU National Executive agree to a negotiators agreement?

I think they have called this briefing to try and gauge the feeling among the workforce from the reps before endorsing or rejecting the offer. Opinion is obviously in the balance otherwise it would have been endorsed very quickly. They also need to get an idea of whether people have the stomach and the faith to take more industrial action.

For the same reasons they have agreed to every other shite agreement.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

One last jolly up for the Union Reps before they all get voted out in Elections after they put their Negotiated Deal to us as for being asked to judge the workforces vibe how would most of them know any Union man I have ever known spends more time with Managers than he does actually working or talking to staff

i think the main sentence from the memo is " the next steps" usually means industrial action is coming !

I was thinking the same ... Taken 2 days to consider, and the wording, 'the next steps' ...

How can they gauge the feeling among the workforce when the workforce doesn't have a ruddy clue what the deal/agreement contains.timbo1234 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 16:39I think they have called this briefing to try and gauge the feeling among the workforce from the reps before endorsing or rejecting the offer. Our rep doesn't even ask us how we feel about anything anyway.

National briefing are normally called to go through the negotiator’s agreement with senior reps who then go back to their respective branches. Local reps are then invited to meetings to go through the agreement and then sell it to the membership.
I might be wrong but they should release the documents now if it’s been endorsed by the PEC.
Any further delays are totally unacceptable.

My feelings too. They don't sound too confident about it. I can imagine there being a lot of different opinions. Anyway, the only opinion that really matters is the members. It probably would be better for us to reject it emphatically and send them a message to get their act togethertimbo1234 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 16:39I think they have called this briefing to try and gauge the feeling among the workforce from the reps before endorsing or rejecting the offer.
