BBC News tonight: Head of Center Parks; " Our staff are our number one asset?"
I'm sure Simon Thompson has the same about us.
Oh 😱 yes he lies.

Obviously it means a hell of a lot more prep time = less walking and then bringing stuff back and having to put it back in the frame the next morning = less walking.

Maybe it's a blessing. Based on the fact we're currently leaving the office at 10am.... larger frames will probably make it 10.30am. :nana

LESS OUTDOOR TIME = LESS WALKING!!!!! :Applause :dance :cool
Left the office at 11.00 this morning, back at 2.20. 3 hours and 20 minutes attempting to deliver 2 and 2/3 walks, which all had 2 days worth of letters on them. Needless to say, it’ll take ages to throw them back in tomorrow. We probably delivered 1 walk between us today.

Our revision is going well

Our re-alignment goes live next week.

I'd imagine that all COMs have been ordered to implement their revisions next week (or re-implement any that were reversed/stopped) and they've probably been told that all revisions and realignments must stay in place

Why would you take all that out if you know you’re not going to get it delivered, I assume you were made to? Best to just take out what u know u can get done plus a little extra in case you got your timings wrong.

Chap I speak to has not had a partner for several months. He’s been told to do one walk one day (and tracked for other walk) and the swap the following day.
If nobody can cover his day off he just comes in and goes out with 2/3 days of mail!

The managers know it won't work. In the most part they are with us on this. If your already going over on the whole as a unit then it stands to reason you'll go even more over or fail mail. That is the whole point. Unfortunately for us the board want us to fail. They want to be able to go to government and say we can't sustain this and reduce the uso. Its a deliberate sabotage.
These revisions are for the year ending April '23.They are already talking about further revisions in the new financial year!

They were all meant to go live before tax yr end, however ours went to dispute so has been shelved for now. No word of any change yet and you'd think they'd have mentioned something as it's Friday tomorrow.

According to Royal Mail's own financial regulatory statements (that it has to file with Ofcom,) USO products are the only reason we made a profit last year. So why are we cutting its throat wtih gleeful abandon?

And before anyone says that non-USO products are the future, our volumes on those are down from 2014-15 as well. Back then, we delivered 14 million items total non-USO products. Last financial year it was 10.1 million.

Anyway, if you don;t have a life, it makes for interesting reading.

The instruction is to take it all out.
That's how it's going. They think that you will crack at least one day and clear it all rather than bring it back.

As you said, we just worked as directed, even when it means we deliver less, today, tomorrow, everyday

Ours was on then off then some was on, the rest we were told in 2 weeks. Complaints all over the local spotted facebook page moaning about no post for over a week some are saying upto 2 weeks, then 20 letters arrive at once. I was off a week on annual leave and duty didn't get done apart from parcels and tracked which of course we all know don't get priority!!! Come back to work to an utter sh*t show

Crazy to think we work for the same company. We are told to leave it in and only take out what we can deliver. Something about managing mail in frames.
