Why are we doing worse than every other nation then?
Is it because we had a lier as PM a Free marketeer as PM or a Billionaire as PM or a lettuce as PM.
Cannot blame the pandemic as every other nation had it
Cannot blame the war as the people who voted for BREXIT had weakened the EU and thus gave RUSSIA a free hand in the Ukraine bit like Donald Trump did with his NATO speech!
Why are this government expecting us all to foot the bill that they caused?
Capitalism no longer exists, the Central Banks, Technocrats, and Billionaires run things.
I applaud the mental gymnastics you put yourself through to blame Brexit.
To be fair Technocrats and Billionaires funded and steered the corrupt brexit bus. Allowing Billionaires to make millions and allow technocrats greater access to data which can be used for commercial profit.

What on earth is Brexit to do with Pay Talks 2022?
The correlation for me, is that strikes are now commonplace as people are unwilling to accept a reduction in living standards.

As has been said, Covid and the Ukraine war are significant inflationary pressures, there is no doubt about that.

But Brexit has tightened the labour market in the UK, which is an inflationary pressure, people are looking to increase their share of the pie, to cope with increasing cost of living. You don't have an influx of cheap labour from the EU, and UK workers aren't willing to accept lower standards, especially when companies are cost cutting across the board, almost everybody I know works for an employer that is hugely understaffed.

That's in part why we see so many people striking for better pay and conditions at the moment. This is not necessarily a bad thing, provided people do get paid fairly. But if those increased labour costs are then passed on to the consumer, it creates a spiral, where it's very difficult for people like us postal workers, to come out better off than we were before.

Obviously, this hasn't fully played out yet, and trying to blame one specific thing on the problems in the UK, is futile, there are a series of significant issues. However, I have yet to see a plan for post-Brexit that actually makes us better off. Our economy is as weak as I have seen it in my lifetime, worse than 08. I don't see a viable plan for growth, or anything other than an extended period of stagnation, and a decline in living standards.

Did we as a nation not create the conditions by BREXIT for the counter balance by the EU against Russia to be changed and give a free hand in Europe to Russia to invade the the whole EU including the UK?

So the mighty Russian army that can't beat the Ukrainians were going to invade the EU and UK :chuckle .

Be Careful what you ask for the threat to us in the UK is an economic one at the moment hence why trade is important and barriers on trade will slow the growth of our nation and BREXIT has not helped us in that regard. As to Russia it has the largest stock pile of nuclear warheads and if sad Vald said in his bunker it's over it will be for you and I the END!

Maybe our corrupt Warmongering Politicians could de-escalate the situation but then again the are probably making too much money off the Arms manufacturers.

But profit comes before war and I do pity the poor who die in this war they maybe Ukrainian/Russian the latest figures I got was 100,000 Russian army dead and 140,000 Ukrainian dead including civilians. Do any of us realise we have two nuclear powers in Europe we could end this war tomorrow by collaboration and decisiveness. Same is true for poverty in that 99% of the wealth is owned by 1% or less same deal all the world round and money is power by the way world is not listening and why not.

It has created inflationary pressures because of the lack of workers border checks and lack of investment all this is why inflation is at 11%. All because some sad people in June 2016 most whom are probably dead now voted for change!
What a master stroke of conservatism that was and could not foresee events most people now know the Russians were payrolling BREXIT because it broke the EU up and weakened it but it also weakened the UK at the sametime.
This whole Crisis was stoked by the very people who espoused BREXIT in all it's forms they created the conditions that we are suffering now yet expect the working man to pay the price.
The whole costs of which we should absorb the impact of inflation by the cost of living crisis that they made happen only One government has presided over us all this time and this directly is the cause of the strikes.
And thus pay talks 2022 take the bilikers of your eyes and you will see go to the high street it is dead like the economy is!
The creation of Trillions of currency units by the UK/US and EU is to blame for inflation and sanctioning the World's 2nd largest energy supplier.
It's pretty delusional to think that Brexit caused all of this inflation.
Humanity cannot function without energy.
You keep banging on about this but never answer why the rest of the world isn’t suffering as we are.
I have provided answers why we are in this mess.
Why don't you tell me why printing Billions of Pounds , importing economically inactive immigrants and sanctions haven't caused inflation but yet Brexit has.
To paraphrase Milton Friedman "You can have open borders or a welfare state, you can't have both".
You are so uneducated it is painful. Immigrants to this country are less of a drain on the economy than the people born and raised here. They put in more than they take out, funding the welfare state, unlike the natives.

And yes making trading with the biggest bloc in the world, who happens to be your closest neighbour, more difficult, is a bad thing. Consider yourself more informed.

Liz truss and kawazi kartancked the economy and blames his boss who was campaigning for 2 months for the same thing so he says it was her idea and did not question it at the time and had a week too think about it and went ahead with it.
So with the post Truss legacy (Baking a cake took longer) We now find ourselves with The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP as PM this is not some kind of freak show with HUNT AS THE CHANCELLOR this guy made Matt Hancock look like a priest in the NHS.

How much GDP are those immigrants that have been put up in Hotels contributing?
Why do you prefer immigrants to UK Citizen's, you seem to have a low opinion of the British people who you seem to believe live off Welfare provided by immigrants.

Where is the oven ready deal then?
What trade agreements have we got?
What is the benefit of BREXIT?
What effect has BREXIT controlled the immigration problem?
Capitalism is thriving not for SME's but for the rich like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdTATfc_QSg
As an arch BREXITer in chief he has done very well for himself don't mention the cayman islands tax haven of the rich!
Still don't get what Brexit has to do with Pay Talks 2022?
Are you on medication? We left the EU yonks ago.
The whole Brexit was a transitional agreement: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_ ... )_Act_2020 The thing is people who are unintelligent cannot understand the basics of inflation and renumeration!
Yes and my Seretide 100 is in short supply as as is my blood pressure medication because of idiots who voted for something they still don't understand YONKS AGO!

Well it's a good thing the same can't be said about the vaccine roll out for had we been straddled by EU directives a considerable number of persons alive today wouldn't be!

Some statistics for you to chew on (slowly).

Harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) inflation rate of the European Union in September 2022, by country

European Union (EU27) 10.9%

Estonia 24.1%
Lithuania 22.5%
Latvia 22%
Hungary 20.7%
Czechia 17.8%
Netherlands 17.1%
Poland 15.7%
Bulgaria 15.6%
Slovakia 13.6%
Romania 13.4%
Croatia 12.6%
Belgium 12.1%
Greece 12.1%
Denmark 11.1%
Austria 10.9%
Germany 10.9%
Slovenia 10.6%
Sweden 10.3%
Portugal 9.8%
Italy 9.4%
Cyprus 9%
Spain 9%
Luxembourg 8.8%
Ireland 8.6%
Finland 8.4%
Malta 7.4%
France 6.2%
Inflation is a good thing as long as the people who make the means of production a reality deserve a cut in the profits we can argue all day about other firm's business / countries on here till the cow's come home. But GDP is a measure the world over we cannot the same with inflation as tax policy's and import restrictions effect this but GDP is how rich the nation is it's spending power.

WHY HAS GDP GONE DOWN?

Spending power goes down when you keep creating more and more currency units.
Maybe this answers your question to why GDP is lower than before the Pandemic.

We are a failed state because the economy doesn't produce enough to pay for all of it's unfunded liabilities.
