Nobody has admitted it because nobody cares. Ofcom seem to have swallowed the covid bollocks, the USO has failed for over 2 years.

Hike up the prices, pay yourselves millions in bonuses, shower the shareholders with 400 million quid while the service to the customer goes rapidly down the pan, then blame the posties for the firm losing a million a day.

Given the situation I am surprised Royal mail hasn't made any noise about reviewing the introduction of the new pension plan.
If they haven't got any money I would have thought they would want to limit further the amount they pay into our pension.

They'll probably close the current savings scheme or whatever it is we're paying into at the momentum and go to the bare minimum, NEST .

The office I left a few months ago now has 17 vacancies out of 90 positions. There had been no newbies since before Christmas 2021 and no sign of anyone being recruited. Those vacancies were roughly 12 full time and 5 part time, that is nearly 600 hours that can be saved by simply not recruiting anyone and by not needing to get rid of anyone else.
