Hes more engaged with social media than the actual talks. He just reminds me of a troll behind the keyboard trying to get some sort of kick from the general public.

Hes not serious about talks, and somebody needs to kick him out before things turn really bad for all of us including the shareholders.

Christmas is fast approaching and if nothing can be resolved by then. Then hes failed the business walking away with a bonus and shares which will be zero the time he leaves.

With the share price so low, maybe it's a good opportunity for renationaliation? The UK needs a good quality uso delivery, to help facilitate business in the UK.

Privation has demonstrated that all the people incharge care about is profit! They are running the service down because it's the easiest way to make a quick buck. Because to modernize royal mail it would take clever people running the company.

This is what happens if people who are incapable of running a business why should you be able to go on social media when running a business it is like using your mobile behind the wheel is it not? The guy was not the best at the helm of test and trace and his track record is second to zero and he can at the sametime tell us what we should be doing this is nonsense.

The problem is the government they set this whole thing up so competition could boom in the european market in mail delivery they thought at the time if they handcuffed the royal mail by setting a price on what we could charge others to deliver the mail. Which they picked up and distributed this would help other european mail carriers come into the market and reduce the price and put us ahead of other nations.
This did not work as the 2008 financial crisis hit then whistle post decided it could not afford to brake the law on not paying kids £2.74 an hour and needed to pay £4 plus not good so for them so they left the market hence we now have a failed postal system someone picks the mail up gets paid a s**t load for it and we the royal mail cannot cover the costs of that deal.
So till the regulations change and since we are not in the EU anymore throw it back to the government this is some kind of game ST likes to play but what you cannot do is deliberately and I say this with confidence Is run the business without due care and attention of spending so you can gain the high ground.
Sorry for saying this but with clowns like ST who needs the circus in town!

Whilst obviously Thompson is a lying predator I feel the union need to explain themselves. Dave Ward has said several times that RM are going to make a new improved pay offer this week coming but Thompson has said today that this is completely untrue. Dave Ward has also said the strikes have made RM come back into ‘talks’ but again Thompson has denied that these are actually real talks or negotiations? So have the Union been bullshitting us that our strikes are having an effect? I get the CWU have to try keep spirits up but honestly I would rather just be told the truth, we get enough lies from Royal Mail.
I'd say cwu is being repeatedly lied to by simon and they are working with they are told or at least hinted by him. Then he comes up completely opposite only days later. I might be wrong. I can only imagine this is difficult for them too as Simon isn't honest at all.
the negotiators could well be telling the truth, in that there really is going to be an improved offer, because they know he is going to be ousted by the board next week, and he doesn't know about it yet. why else would they be telling our negotiators this if they knew fine well that dickhead was going to say the exact opposite? maybe just my imagination running wild but its a thought.

Well it could be the case but I am quite certain negotiators are working off the script, carefully written by simon they are working for him not the other way around but yes it could be that the directors are finally fed up and are plotting to get rid of him. Honestly speaking he is so unpredictable that anything is really possible. My money is there will be zero progress until the end of October.

This doesn't make sense like everything else that he is doing. I think the november/december rolling strikes will be make or break. If this will not soften him up or won't eventually force him out, then I think we may as well forget about the royal mail and cwu once we all knew.

I genuinely don't understand how a CEO can spend so much time being active on Workplace. He must be the most overpaid social media intern in history.
I'm not certain that Thompson himself actually posts all the drivel posted in his name on Workplace. I suspect he may have a minion, or small team of minions, who post at least some things in his name - presumably with some kind of brief to work from.

Either way though, it's cockwomblery of the highest order.
