not calling for more days strike. Just think the single days we're striking in October should be rolling depending on department like in November if you get what I mean.
Agreed. Or 3 days back to back. They will just clear the backlog over the next day or 2 (with a couple of cheeky ot deals) like the lapsing.
How many times has it been said on this forum- its not about the backlog or how quickly it gets cleared!!!
At this point I think people are choosing to see it in the wrong way, like, on purpose. They must be

There are obviously going to be people who are maybe struggling financially and looking for excuses not to strike and one of the most common reasons is that the strikes are a waste of time because people are doing overtime. It deflects the blame onto others.

I'm not saying that's the case here but you will see and hear a lot of that argument at work in the next few weeks.

Yeah you’re right loads of people do that.

My test is, are you going on holiday? If so you can afford to strike.

I notice it stops people in their tracks, they hesitate, as hiding a holiday is hard to do these days for most.

if simon the moron gets his way part-timers will not exist as everyone will have to complete their duty or be fired so you could be working 40-50 hours a week and not getting paid for it !
While I get the reason for the comment you have to realise what you have written is completely illegal and will never happen..
don't you understand this is what the new RM executive action will bring about . This is why we are striking !

you cant by law be made to work 50 hours a week and definately not unpaid.were not on the chain gang or working in plantations.people have gone mad.change yes but not to that level.

Aren't those lovely caring tories currently trying to do away with the law that protects us from having to work more than 48 hrs a week? Such is there concern for how poor we are by ensuring we can work 24/7 to helps us become wealth creators.

A Tory MP (name escapes me) had a great idea last week when they said you can just work more to top up your earnings to fend off the cost of living crisis.

I think to be fair he also suggested getting a better paid job.

There is a book called The Wisdom of Psychopaths about how the business world is full of functional psychopaths.

It does make you wonder if bringing down the capitalist system might just leave us with a world full of serial killers like Bundy and Dahmer.

The law of unintended consequences.

I try not to criticize but there shouldn't be a "to be fair" for him.
