If you read the facts, the overall company is Royal Mail Group PLC.

Subsidiaries of Royal Mail Group PLC are:

Royal Mail
ParcelForce
GLS.

Probably the reason for renaming the overall group to International Distribution Services PLC is that it would not sound right if you sold Royal Mail, owned by Royal Mail Group PLC.

Definitely leading to something, THEN see the changes come in.

All this proves is that unless Simon gets overruled, he will keep on ploughing ahead with his plan. He doesn't seem at all fazed by the looming strike's. He just keeps doubling down.

If we go on strike during Christmas the pressure will really be on him. The union should announce more strike dates for December .

Have to be rational & think that the Royal Mail bosses have worst case scenarios covered & are willing to hire extra staff to cover the strike dates.
Public opinion would be the biggest pressure. If they thought a mass of customers would switch to other couriers then it could help us out.

Adverts on indeed in my area for agency to do post and parcel 13 quid an hour, they will have it covered.

Yeah they normally hire alot of temps over Christmas so they'll just have to increase the numbers. Standards will obviously drop though.
