I've put this in a few threads now but there is absolutely no way I'll be working Sundays. Going by my office alone I don't think there'll have a problem with volunteers if they staff it that way.

If you're saying that is unfair, what about the whole seniority system for picking walks? Newcomers get screwed then aswell.

Would you rather the manager gave the duties to his mates? At least this is transparent with no favouritism. We’ve all been at the bottom.

I'm not against the seniority way of doing it. Simply pointing out to the op that newcomers usually have to put up with these things.
