Re: A ''No Strike Clause'' in past agreement
Well surely "rolling strikes" has to be the better option by a country mile. I know its been mentioned by Martin Walsh there would be problems with picket lines as some D.O.s are inside of mail centres now. But surely we have the brains when planning this type of action to overcome these obstacles....we desperately need to win this dispute by whatever means neccessary or we are all f****d....the executive included. Probably the easy way to deal with that is to have any DOs that are located within a MC site to have their strike days on the same day as the MC processingdaveyeff wrote: ↑26 Sep 2022, 09:54Well surely "rolling strikes" has to be the better option by a country mile. Exactly - why is it a problem in the 1st place - are there rules preventing this ?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑26 Sep 2022, 10:10Probably the easy way to deal with that is to have any DOs that are located within a MC site to have their strike days on the same day as the MC processingdaveyeff wrote: ↑26 Sep 2022, 09:54Well surely "rolling strikes" has to be the better option by a country mile. Simon Says
it is an important point - CWU must have known - it is a very clear condition - and this is why we have served notice - which is covered in 7.3......
I think it is a good question - for the CWU reps - perhaps they should have made - the potential consequences more clear....
I now it might beheardhard to hear this point - but it is an important one - the agreement was based on industrial stability - and the ability to change - so the business can compete....
CWU say - I have "torn up the agreement" - which is totally not true - we have served notice on some of the protections - they must have know about 7(e)....

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
