If you cannot make a success of a company that has a monopoly on letters, huge infrastructure, massive experience levels in the postal workforce, respect from the public and one of the most well known brands in the world then you're a s**t leader and it's time to go. Obviously the pandemic switched people's shopping and profits increased but there was always going to be a downturn afterwards so you don't go giving so much to shareholders. It almost so bad, it's a deliberate devaluation ready for a sale. Bit like the Tories are doing to the NHS.

Why aren't both the CWU and RM joining forces to lobby the government to be able to do away with access mail so that they either use RM from when it's picked up from the original sender right through to and including delivery or the other firms sort and deliver it themselves?

Basically other companies collect the mail from the sender and sort it to the nearest MC to the recipient, they drop off that mail at the nearest MC to the recipient. it then gets sorted by the MC and sent on to DOs

If you look at the stock market in general at the moment everything is dropping, so dont get too carried away thinking the strikes etc are causing RM’s value to fall.

RM shares have fell 60% in a year, which is more dramatic than most.

There is no short term end in sight and I expect the share price to drop below £2 by October, maybe to £1.60 in 4 to 6 weeks.

The shares are going to be looking at testing dropping below £2 later this week, even as soon as tomorrow, if they drop below that figure not sure where the next "floor" will be, given Simon seems in no rush to settle the ongoing dispute you have to wonder if the BoD (Vesa) are content to see the share price carry on dropping until Reece-Mogg makes his decision.
