Same faces on our picket line - mine and one other. Out of about 60 staff. And over half went in today, most saying they can't afford to lose money. The first day of the strike 10 went in. I reckon by the ninth strike day most of the office will cross the picket line. I hope our office is not the norm.

Yep, 31 out of 60. We counted them. Some just don't care and are happy to do all the overtime while we lose money. Most are apologetic and say they can't lose the money, which is fair enough. But it's the ones who say they are hard up when I've overheard them talking about going to the pub or a gig that really annoy me. I haven't been out since the strikes started and have cancelled a holiday. A few sacrifices is not the end of the world when we have so much to lose.pieoftheday wrote: ↑13 Oct 2022, 14:09Bloody fxxk really? It’s not. We have had 2 out of 150 cross previously, not heard about today but would be amazed if it’s anymore than these 2 crossing again.

This has boiled my blood! What a gutless bunch of morons you work alongside. We’ve all got mortgages/rent/kids/cars, whatever, to pay for but sometimes you have to make a stand & sacrifice to stop wa@nkers like Thompson & Williams walking all over you. I find it incredible that so many people don’t have the backbone to stand up for themselves or their collegues. What a sad world we live in.

One of the strike breakers in our office is someone who once ran to be a union rep and wants to run again in futurepieoftheday wrote: ↑13 Oct 2022, 18:07I wonder if these strike breakers are relatively new to RM ,have never intended to stay so don't care or 10yr plus people who have pension and lives invested in Rm?

Re: Same faces on picket line
Well said ,i can't stand on the picket line with the person who gives it the big one and then comes in on his day off ,all union members while in dispute with the company should be in a non cooperation mode,as for helping them out with unagreed revisions please stop now ,its like running into battle with a feather duster .norris9 wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 13:46What's worse than someone not being on the picket line, is someone who is on the picket line who.......
-Starts early.
-Works through their break.
-Works their day off during this dispute.
-Works overtime during this dispute.
Most posties in my depot work through their breaks even during this dispute. They want better pay, but they are working 7 hours for free a month for this company by working through their breaks.
