HOW!! Are they on the sick. They’re only walking 12000 steps per day. :nana :nana
Yeah and MW says they only have to do that 3 times per week :nana

Is there any context to these report on 'wearing heart monitors'?
The WSWS/SEP reported on it. Workers have stated that they were offered health monitoring to study the affects of the optimised delivery method.

What kind of heart monitors are these then ? I’ve had the one that you wear for a day and night from the hospital and they were really annoying whilst at work.

If you are studying the effect fatigue due to a new way of working, it stands to reason that you need a baseline or 'before' reading.
Or am I reading this whole idea wrong and people are being fitted with these as a safety measure incase the extra workload triggers an underlying condition?

This isn't a new thing.
I worked in an office in about 2010 when workers were asked to wear heart monitors to evaluate the effect of longer deliveries in areas with a high proportion of tenements.
This was done I believe at the request of the Royal Mail H&S department with CWU involvement.

In what way was the effect evaluated? What were they using as the baseline?

Joking aside, i think if they discover just one defect with someone's heart ❤️, and that person can get properly checked out and fixed up, then it will all be worth it, surely.
If they do that'll just be more by chance than by plan, I'm not really sure monitoring somebody's heart identifies how fatigued they are becoming, surely just counting somebody's steps is sufficent and then getting a medical/health expert to confirm what is a reasonable number of steps to walk each day? I'd suggest 30K is more than enough but if a postie has only been walking 15K/20K for years RM can't suddenly expect them to start walking 25K/30K daily?

I need someone in a higher power to explain to me how mail is failing over 6 days but is achievable over 3. Only asking.

That's surely the question OFCOM/the Government should be asking before approving the USO reforms?

Another question to ask is if mail has dropped so substantially then why can't it all be delivered on time?

If you use the search function and type in tenement study it brings up the relevant threads but it won't let me open the documents or copy and paste them.
