Trust no one especially the cwu.
What do you want cwu to do.people everywere are getting hrs changed not just delivery.why don,t you become a rep an represent all those people instead of just criticising behind a keyboard.
Id never become a rep after the way the CWU treated them during the last strike, after the first few reps were sacked on jumped up charges the whole country should of been out ,it was absolutely sickening to watch ,our rep never got reinstated for a jumped up charge i cant even put it into words how i despise everyone at the top of Royal Mail and the CWU a like for what they have done.
They all got their jobs back though didn't they?

That Sean06 is just a new version of Aiden01. Complete troll here, look at their post history, ridiculous doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.

Make of that what you will but it's a troll account and a toxic desperado one at that. Genuinely worrying :cuppa
Thanks for the heads up I have been trolled by Aiden01 myself. No all the sacked reps did not get their jobs back thanks to the stitch-up terms agreed between the CWU-RM through the Falconer Review. Remember the figure cited was around about 400 sacked and suspended and only around 200 or so cases referred - 38 sacked reps have returned and 82 accepted a financial settlement. These figures may have slightly altered from mid-Jan but vast majority took financial settlement because they would not wear accepting any guilt and the fact that RM walked away totally scot-free (no judgement on those who did return, this is all on the CWU PEC , Ward, Furey and Walsh) . Not only a white-wash but a second victimisation in reality you can read the terms agreed, the same criteria was applied to those suspended - a total travesty https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/1 ... w-n15.html

Sorry to hear that, I genuinely thought most got their jobs back. RM have become a sleekit organisation over the last few years and it pisses me off no end. Unfortunately I felt I had no option but to leave 6 months ago. The place is rotten to the core.

I believe our world has changed. Some people, supernumeraries and all else either move to new times and roles or put simply decide that this job isn't for them anymore.

What Royal mail has taught me since the dispute is simple. An opg is just a job and like the rest of the world, if your not happy, find another job.

They don't care about your concerns, your life or anything, unless it financially benefitting the business.

Harsh I'm sorry.

I nearly lost my early shift job and would of moved onto weekends before nights.

Good luck in your choices.
Yes you are 100% correct and most companies are the exact same now. Treat their workforce with contempt and pay them as little as possible and only the minimum holiday and sick pay arrangements. Trust me, ALL, at RM will be on ssp only in the next couple of years regardless contract. And everyone will be on the new contracts, not the other way about. Contracts for the ordinary working man of women is not worth the paper it's written on. We need to take back control. I know RM need to move with the times but you need to take your staff with you. Imagine how much goodwill you would have for an employer who tried to help you out and treated you as well as they could. They would save millions by posties going the extra mile, coming in on their day off and working with managers to clear office. It's not rocket science ffs, it's putting paper through letterboxes and handing over packages but management make it so much harder than it needs to be.
