No rep should be selling this deal. Do your own research and read the agreement throughly, and use your vote regardless even if it's a Yes or No don't waste your ballot paper.

Desperate is what the Union are, Ward telling people to Vote Yes  we are all grown ups and I guess we can all read and then make an informed decision based on on this agreement.

Our reps just got off the zoom call, say it's a crap deal and aren't going to bother trying to sell it.
Ours still advising rejection of deal
Ours says take the money and try and f**k em over at every turn afterwards.
Do you think it can be done?

I'm a rep and was on the call ,it was all lovey Dovey between mr ward and mr mcpherson saying how we're going to work together to put quality of service back !!!!! Incidentally hours were cut in our office on ips and for part timers that very morning without any union involvement, you simply couldn't make it up. Still a resounding NO from me.

Exactly, the union has no sway as things stand.

I totally agree this agreement is terrible what i plan to do is vote yes for it and use the time the union has given us march 2024 to see if i can find a better job if not i will stay until that happens dave ward has made the situation crystal clear striking for a better deal is a waste of time , the feeling i am getting at the office i work at is the same.

Isn't that just when the later starts/finishes come in? what about the other stuff like seasonal hours, sick pay etc etc

Our rep says we might as well take the deal and get something out of it. There is not going to be a new deal or any more strikes and the changes will come in anyway. So it sounds as the union have given up on us and the deal really is a terms of surrender document!

Yep, surrender, take the £1,400 plus pay rise and see how things pan out over the next few months, it seems better than rejecting £1,400 + the pay rise and the company still bringing in the changes, which they clearly will be doing.

Is that a suggestion or a question?

Based on the fact I think the UK will fall into recession now..... I don't think we'll get a better offer on pay if we vote no. It's highly likely we'd be offered less money, whether that's for less change - who knows.

I now think the best option is to vote YES, the company has gone to the dogs anyway. I can see myself leaving within 2 years.

The worst thing that is coming, and I doubt we cannot stop it is the plan to remove frames and have the mail pre-sorted by machine. We won't be indoors as much soon. Even more time will be spent outside destroying our bodies, walking 14 miles+ a day. This will be far too much. The job is exhausting as it is now. This will likely come in and people will be dropping like flies when that time comes.

If it’s a yes I’m out
No point in paying into a union that only lines it’s own pockets while negotiating away previous hard fought t&cs
Me too .i dont care if i get sacked anymore they'd probably be doing me a favour.
