This is a terrible deal we need to to get rid of this useless union and start again ,
Is there anything to stop us all joining another union ? .
There's no collective bargaining between RM and any other union.
Need to stay in CWU and replace the clowns running it with people who'll fight for us.

Their position will be untenable anyway after a 'No' vote

Even the profit share scheme is awful

The two sides have also agreed on a profit-share agreement: assuming Royal Mail makes an adjusted operating profit in any financial year up to 2024-25, a fifth of those profits will be handed out as a one-off payment to employees, to be paid after publication of the company’s accounts.

We're not making any profit before then, probably not for a good while after either.

Are you even sure there will be a vote on the deal? Surely a no vote would end the union???

Obvious no - quite apart from the pay rise being utterly inadequate, the actual terms of the deal are utter dogshit and an almost complete capitulation to Royal Mail.

It's quite obvious that the main sticking point for accepting the deal wasn't the shite pay, or the upcoming changes to delivery and the network - it was making sure the CWU get to stay recognised and get to keep their place.

CWU more concerned about retaining their place in the decision making process than getting an actual decent deal.

100%!

They'll just outsource a load of crap to Halford's (which they have business interests in) at an absolute fortune.

A year of talks for this crap. What are they doing, 6 words an hour? Absolute bilge. We need either a new union outright or new leadership.

You'll get paid your 39 hours, you just work less hours in the summer.

The pay deal is the absolute bare minimum and the back pay of only about £300 in your pocket is an insult for the T&Cs they want imposing. Lots of room for managers to abuse their powers with all this Flex Time and seasonal working. Plus vague detail on the other issues.

I think we continue to be paid 37 hours per week, regardless of whether we're working 35, 37 or 39 hrs.
It averages out over the year at 37 hours. Or have I got this wrong??

Im not sure if others are being unreasonable or I am.

What exactly did people think the deal was going to be?

Genuine question.

No

He will be paid his 37 hours in both summer and winter
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
