Acca Dacca wrote: ↑17 Nov 2022, 10:50It’s worth bearing in mind that even if there was a queue of people wanting it - 5000-6000 redundancies amounts to about 6% so relative to a small to medium size delivery office its about 2 of every 40 employees who would get it
Of course some offices could have more and some less than that dependant
I don't get it. They probably lose 2 people from our depot every 2 or 3 months. Why would they pay people off when people naturally exit Royal Mail.
I doubt they will even offer it at ours, we are 25% understaffed.

Re: Redundancies
Is this more to do with reducing the amount of Union Members within RM do you all think? It would certainly be an advantage to them.

Are there any statements or documents with more information about the terms?

Re: Redundancies
Certainly hits the union in the pocket - probably near 6%less revenue through lost subs with reduced headcountscoobydo79 wrote: ↑17 Nov 2022, 11:49Is this more to do with reducing the amount of Union Members within RM do you all think? It would certainly be an advantage to them.![]()

Re: Redundancies
I'm not sure if anyone elses royal mail app is doing it, but when you log in, a new tile called "preference exercise" pops up for a split second, then disappears. I wonder if that's what the redundancy tab will be?

The people who want to leave won't listen to that . A lot of people have had enough .
