i agree this bloke needs to go as he is not fit to run the company , he calls everybody team which is an insult as the amount of stress and pressure he has caused amongst the workforce and he has divided any trust if any between managers and staff and the worst part is he totally ripped up all agreements we have ever had , and ive never known any so called ceo piss off the entire workforce like he has and he still trying to make money , my biggest worry if they do get an agreement by the 15th Nov ( and we all know why they picked this date is that he has to present himself to the stock market on the 17th so he trying to keep his job ) , is that he throws his toys out the pram ( again ) and trys to play his games again after xmas , i hope the CWU have summat to say if he trys it , it is illegal via court action .

A one man wrecking machine, if i was a business customer with my xmas catalogue stuck at the bottom of a tray under a posties bench for the foreseeable future after i spent a lot of money to ensure it got out for the busy xmas period and the chance of losing 1000's if not millions in lost revenue i'd be more than a little bit pissed off especially when i found out the posties were willing to do overtime to deliver them and the tool banned overtime,i'd want him sacked ASAP.

It's probably the CWU that decides if he gets fired or he stays. If they agree to a s**t deal he stays and probably gets another massive bonus. If they fail to do a deal before the 15th he will probably get fired. I know what I'd do!

Part of the problem we have as postmen today are the lazy postmen we had 20 or 30 years ago who rather than do the job moved into management.

They regard us as lazy as themselves. They believe we can somehow with PDA tracking still do what they did... Next to nothing.

BT , Royal Mail , RMT rail dispute, Energy Price increase are all linked as all former natural monopolies which have been privatised.

If you were attending the American Business School in 1968 you would be taught that these natural monopolies should remain under government control as they are the infrastructure the USA needs to create the conditions for small and medium business to thrive.

The top rate of tax in 1968 in the USA was 95%.

These 2 things are what Thatcher/ Reagan were employed to remove in the early 80s as a move against the people or labour power and then all "socialist " parties across Europe were persuaded and infiltrated ( Blair / Brown ) to accommodate this form of capitalism and resulted in the farce for instance of waving bits of paper in the EU with " workers rights" which many in the TUC and Labour Party think can exist within a neo liberal economics framework when the facts prove the complete opposite.
