I’m in a position not to care anymore but I’m getting more and more frustrated at seeing my young colleagues with mortgages and young family looking so sad and down everyday. This is not acceptable considering this is being caused from the top. This is mental cruelty at its best. These young staff don’t know if they will have a job, they don’t know if they will be able to continue to work here and get to their child’s school in time to collect them. They don’t know if they are on strike soon and won’t be able to pay their rent or mortgage. They are now saying they have heard they might be losing their allowances.

I thought this company was all about supporting people with mental health issues, not creating them. This has gone on far to long. Get this bloody mess sorted and then work out how to build morale back up which will benefit everyone and might get the best out of the staff if they are happy in their work. After this pantomime to gain the staffs trust might take a very long time. This is no way to treat the staff that are the backbone of the company. If we were a football team with this amount of happiness and morale we would be bottom of the grass roots league and the manager sacked. Come on please? We are better than this?
Thrash a deal out if it takes all weekend. This has gone on far too long. Otherwise this could go on all winter.

And all because your union is a bunch of troughing, self serving ideologues who will see the whole company fail rather than accept that modernisation of working practices and rationalisation of the workforce is essential for the very survival of the business.
