I am reluctant to send the picture to my mp without confirmation of where the picture was taken and whether this is local or national policy. Although we all know that huge amounts of mail are failing everyday and RM are breaching the USO contract daily right across the country. I feel most mps would have little regard for a random photo with out credited source.

Anyone could of took this but I believe it is in the public interest and that every Member of Parliament should be sent one of these and lets see where they stand on this issue!

Emailed my MP but given she's a Tory I doubt it'll do much good.

I imagine we'll get the usual corporate arse covering from RM if it goes any further 'this was a rogue manager acting alone, it's not national policy to violate the USO' and there'll be a friendly reminder sent around to all the COMs to keep such instructions verbal from now on.

Probably but this should all be out in the open it is in the public interest why has someone at the top of Royal Mail made a decision without informing the regulator or the DSA companies not that I am the biggest fan of the competition.
Do they know we are breaking the terms of the USO and that of OFCOM because of one small minded man at the top of Royal Mail the CEO himself.
Wonder if he would get on the record and confirm or deny this breach of the regulations he so has given his management TEAM!

So Mrs Smith has a urgent 1st class hospital letter and it doesn't
matter anymore ?. Unbelievable and to think I used to be proud to work for this company !. 38 years service here and how much longer is anyone 's guess.

Hospitals have mastered email. I mean, they send me reminders by post a few weeks in advance for no good reason, but let's not pretend we're risking lives here. Tell me a situation where a physical letter can NOT be replaced by online communication, and you might just save the whole letters industry.
