Pointless turning against early starters those not taking breaks running round their deliveries etc.
Yes they're daft for doing it working for nothing losing out on ot they could have been getting.
What is happening now is nothing to do with that.
This is all to do with capatilist greed. There is money to be made from Royal Mail but first they have to separate the wheat from the chaff. We are just collateral in their dirty war. Let's not give them the satisfaction of us turning against each other.

Since monday the mail and normal packets are getting left behind. Three days in with not getting any body in early and it's already beginning to buckle.

Can't wait for xmas, won't be able to get in the office at this rate.

Started Monday, in our DO , told work to time no OT, so I approached manager today, asked if OT ban was still on, he replied what OT ban! So carried on with work to time , left mail in frame , and took packets , SDs and mail where we were delivering packets to, got told the budget for the office has been halved, how long at this time of the year will that carry on for.

The O/T budget has been halved by 50% from now until the end of the fiscal year (April 5th 2023)

People doing splits and clocking out 2 hours before their finish time. Pre agreed by managers.

Regardless of peoples thoughts on working to rule or working to their time (I think I did a thread a while ago), I don't understand why the company are trying to halve staff overtime when they are still using agency workers after strike days


Given the cost of living crisis its quite spiteful the company doing this as its probably costing them more money.

Yep .. not paying us to do the extra that lets face it these s**t revisions caused. Bringing agency muppets in who don't know the walk and bring everything back as no access even though these are terraced streets. It's designed to starve us. f**k em.

I really do feel sorry for the people not receiving birthday cards on time. They have paid though the nose for that service. I look at my customers and have to shrug my shoulders and apologise. It's all Simon Thompson's fault. Can't we just get a leaflet that says Simon doesn't believe in mail anymore and this is why your card/postcard/new visa card/new current a/c card/ new currency card, xmas card/important mortgage documents/ will documents/probate notice/bank notice/share notice/ council tax statement bill/ death notice, voting eligibility, driving licence, birth certificate, dog's pedigree certificate, student finance ddi, STD kits and any other such fcking important things in life that still come in the post are more than 5 days late even though you've paid for first class mail. Explain to everyone why these things are taking more that a week to get to their destination. It is because you are the man who has decided to kill the public service for profit. Have you stopped the roll out of the new uniform so we can all wear jeans to work with high viz saying EVRI? Have you stopped the roll-out of electric vans so that we can all use our own vans and cars. Where is the much vaunted CDC pension scheme that was meant to replace all of the old schemes and temporary cash building nonsense. CDC is too expensive but I can think you see that you won't have to provide anything if you have a deliveroo workforce.

3 days into an overtime ban here, from a clear office saturday it is now a car crash,
even moving duty holders to other offices and purposely failing duties!
if it was injured bodies laying about and not mail/packets a government would call a state of emergency
best thing is not too many have complained but if the cwu would have instructed the ban the all hell would be let loose by both staff and (mis)management

I won't quote Trumanity, but the vast majority of things that might have been late by post would, in my experience, have been dealt with online. Physical items excluded, anything that's on paper is dealt with online. I have had nothing important delivered in letter format in years.

Birthday cards. Xmas cards well done passing your exams. Certificates and that old favourite personal letters between 2 people. It all still happens maybe not ad much as it used to but because of Simon we are still letting a hell of a lot of people down

We don’t have an O/T ban in my office, we still have management begging staff to do o/t as well as a dozen agency staff every single day delivering packets. We even had the LAT duties scrapped (replaced by agency, who fail every day) so those staff can do deliveries.

The opinion in the office is we no longer care, we’ll burn it down on our way out.

Overtime ban came in last week but lasted a day, you can have it if you want. Most people are sticking by it now and leaving mail in even if its a regular day, one chap just took 2 loops and tracked
