I would of thought the threat of 19 days industrial action would have been a pause for thought for Simon and his top managers.
And maybe come to the table with a view to start negotiating.

All I've seen from royal mail is zero effort to negotiate zero effort for grown up talks zero effort to get this dispute resolved.
Royal mail has used this pay dispute as an opportunity to rob us of more of our hard fought terms and conditions.

I can't see how a company can make staff redundant based on the losses they incur in one year, as surely once the strike is over the business will recover and then most of the staff will still be required? The problem for ST is that nobody seems to be listening to him, as you can almost guarantee Thursday strike will have similar support to the previous strikes.

If the strikes was called off he would completely bulldoze through us at least this way eventually they would need to start talking. I mean he's trying to bulldoze through us now with revisions etc BUT he still needs a workforce to do it.

His twitter video looks like he's stressed to f**k.....he's saying if we strike PAST the 25th of October then more redundancies will ensue....well after the 25th October is when the rolling strikes kick in, so he's obviously shitting himself to the consequences of the total disruption they will cause...tenfold to what one day strikes have achieved, and he KNOWS it. That's why he's resorted to "weapons grade" scaremongering. He thinks it will stop us striking. He's WRONG.

Strikes or not he plans to get rid of jobs. It's the sh!te terms and conditions of what's left. What's the point in having a union if you don't back it, you may as well say just crack on lol

Personally yes if it keeps a younger person in a job. In our office there would be a queue if redundancy is offered and not just older members of staff.
