I cant believe how weak people are, forever whining about the odd day a week strike , Jesus H you lot should have been a miner in the 1980's then you would have a right to whinge ! With people like you working for RM this job is fooked for everyone. Go cross the picket lines and stop crying :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo!

There are people born to be walked all over.

If we lose this dispute whoever crosses the picket line will have to accept without complaint everything management throws at them .I don't say that lightly because I know many people are hurting financially but will stand to get hurt a lot more if we capitulate .

1. Would they start dismissing people....we have seemingly been purposefully understaffed at our mail centre for 2 years now. We are understaffed by 30% and there's no evidence of recruiting this extra 30%.

2. Who would go first if they got rid of people. I assume it's based on seniority?

They carry on ballot or not depends on when you started the clock from first every strike we do is killing this business but it is not us who are doing it. It is Simon Thomson's Suicide ideas an his billigarance to the working man and women of this great institution/business because of piss poor leadership and communication sticking your head in the sand will not stop you getting your arse kicked Simon!

It's not going to be brilliant no matter what agreements they come up with... there will be sacrifices to accept... but if we cave in and buckle now Thompson & his cronies will turn the screw and demoralise the workforce to all time lows.

Can’t afford to strike for one day
Get a grip
You will lose more than that if rm get their way
Realise this NO MORE OVERTIME
Think about that for a day
Annualised hours
Part time think about that

There really are some spineless lickspittle whingers working for RM
I cannot afford this and that blah blah blah blah blah after only a few days strikes
We are ALL in the same boat here -
If that is the case then any strike breaking weasels better NOT whinge and complain about any of the s**t that RM is going to give them

The CWU must announce rolling strikes right through the Christmas pressure period

Have you actually thought people coming in on strike days it may no necessary be about money . Maybe there are other reasons

Of course it’s about money and being selfish there’s no other reason to come in, get a grip of yourself! anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves undermining “colleagues”

I can think of several reasons why someone would work that is not necessarily money oriented

I used to think December 2nd was a make or break day aswell but if we are willing to strike until then we might aswell strike until the end of the year. Makes no sense to give up when they need us most.
If you're struggling just work your restday & it will equal out the same as a normal week. New year is when we should be asking if it's worth it cause if they wasn't budging through Christmas, it looks unlikely they will change course.

I think we will see some movement in talks if we threaten to withdraw our labour for the whole of the Christmas pressure period. I know it will be painful but the pussyfooting doesn’t seem to have an effect on Thompson and his cronies
