I question how much of a difference the october strike dates are going to make. Why are we waiting until November to do rolling strike days. They will make far more of an impact than the odd single day. We're running out of time, as by the end of the year it'll be less likely we'll get a deal. We need to put the pressure on, and start rolling strikes as soon as possible.

The original post is moaning about 2 days loss of pay and you are calling for more strikes , union can’t win .

not calling for more days strike. Just think the single days we're striking in October should be rolling depending on department like in November if you get what I mean.

Agreed. Or 3 days back to back. They will just clear the backlog over the next day or 2 (with a couple of cheeky ot deals) like the lapsing.

While I get the reason for the comment you have to realise what you have written is completely illegal and will never happen..

if simon the moron gets his way part-timers will not exist as everyone will have to complete their duty or be fired so you could be working 40-50 hours a week and not getting paid for it !

Not sure about that, wouldn't put it past RM to use the stick of a charge of wilful delay

You really need to understand what wilful delay is before you start threatening people with it SP.

Hence why the union need to be debunking myths.
Clearly someone working an 8 hour a day contract has more chance of "commit to deliver" without impacting their personal life than someone working 5 hours a day.
This whole issue needs clarifying or this will perpetuate forever.
My guess is RM are being deliberately vague to scare the bejesus out of everyone.
So the union needs to call them out on it, or challenge the legality of it.
If they can legally change all our contracts just say so, and let's all crack on and decide if we want to stay on crapper terms, or leave the business.
I appreciate fighting for terms having being won over a number of years, but only if the fight is winnable, and ultimately if the law is not on our side people need to wake up to that.
For what it's worth, Woody, if I'm not on your foe list and you see this post, I have decided to stay on strike- for now.
But only if I start to see reasonable progress and some straight talking from the union- I wouldn't trust ST as far as I could throw him, but we need to know what we're dealing with and be realistic about our chances.

How many times has it been said on this forum- its not about the backlog or how quickly it gets cleared!!!

Sorry, Sp you have put on a legislative document dealing with the crime of "Interfering with Mail", Wilful, and accidental mail delay is an internal contractual process and not on the same level. The Security Desk deal with the legislation, and management deal with the contractual stuff.

At this point I think people are choosing to see it in the wrong way, like, on purpose. They must be
